Roles determine what a User can do in the system. Users can have more than one Role assigned to them.
If you started onboarding your ReachMoreParents platform from 02/07/24 onwards you will have a new standard set of Roles. If you started onboarding your ReachMoreParents platform before 02/07/24, you will likely have a non-standard set of Roles.
When you import your users into ReachMoreParents from your MIS, roles are assigned automatically. All students will be assigned the 'Student' role, and anyone with parental responsibility for a student will be assigned the 'Parent / Carer' role.
If you have the new standard set of roles: All staff members will be assigned the All Staff role when they are imported from the MIS.
If you have the old non-standard set of roles: All staff members will be assigned the Non-Teaching Staff role when they are imported from the MIS.
Staff members then need to be assigned additional roles to give them permission to perform various actions in ReachMoreParents.
