At your school, you may have children that are eligible for FSM (Free School Meals) or UIFSM (Universal Infant Free School Meals). When charging parents for meals, FSM/UIFSM is typically applicable to items on the lunch menu but may not be applicable to other items such as a mid-morning snack. As such, schools have the option to decide whether FSM/UIFSM applies in their Meal Manager setup.
If you are using a simple meal plan, you can decide whether FSM/UIFSM is applicable to the meal plan itself. If you are using an advanced meal plan, you can decide whether FSM/UIFSM is applicable to a particular menu item.
By default, FSM/UIFSM is applicable to all meal plans and menu items, so this article contains instructions for how to exclude either from FSM/UIFSM.
