We need to immediately stop a user having access to the system
If you need to immediately stop a user logging into the system for any reason you can do this using the 'Disable' function. This will stop them having access to the app or the portal, but the school can still email them and send SMS.
1) Head into Users / Mailboxes
2) Find the user you would like to stop having access
3) Click 'Actions' on the right of the screen
4) Click 'Disable'
The user will be unable to log in until you click 'Enable' again in this area.
A parent isn't coming across into the system, why is this?
There could be a few reasons for this:
Requirements to be included in the MIS Sync
Contacts will only come across into the system if they have 'Parental Responsibility' set to 'Yes', and that they do not have a Court Order against their record.
Only contacts who have 'Parental Responsibility set to 'Yes' or ticked will pull through into Reach More Parents regardless of contact order.
Manually blocked from being imported
It is possible to manually block a user from being imported from the ReachMoreParents side of the system.
To check if they have been added here by mistake head into MIS Configuration in the Admin Menu. Open the 'Ignore Users/Groups Configuration' section and check that the user isn't in the 'Do NOT import these users' area.
How do I stop a user importing into the system?
In order for parental contacts to be imported into the system, they require the Parental Responsibility field to be ticked. If this is not ticked they will not be pulled into the ReachMoreParents.
If the user isn't yet in the system
If the user isn't yet in the system but you would like to ensure they never get pulled over from your MIS follow the steps below:
If the user is already in the system / delete a user?
If the user is already in the system but you would like to remove them permanently follow the steps above and then do the following:
1) Head into 'Users / Mailboxes' in the Admin Menu
2) Find the user you would like to delete
3) Click 'Actions' on the right of the screen
4) Click 'Delete'
This will delete the user from the system and the changes to 'MIS Configuration' will ensure they do not get imported in on the next sync from your MIS.
How do I reset a user's password?
If someone has forgotten their password they can reset this themselves clicking 'Forgot password' on the log in screen, or you can send a 'Password Reset' email to them.
Follow the steps below:
In order to send a 'Password Reset' email you will need the 'Send Password Reset Email' user permission commonly attached to the System Administrator user role.
