If you are using Meal Manager, some students will be eligible for FSM or UIFSM status. Similarly, if you have children moving into Year 3, they will need to have UIFSM status removed.
How to apply UIFSM status to EYFS students
To apply UIFSM status to an EYFS/Reception group, please follow the instructions below:
1) Click on your name in the top right-hand corner of the screen and click on your school’s name to access the administration menu.
2) Browse to the ‘FSM/UIFSM Options’ area which can be found under ‘Meal Management’ via the navigation pane on the left-hand side.
3a) Make sure you are in the ‘SET FSM & UIFSM STATUS’ tab.
3b) Select your EYFS/Reception group(s) by clicking into the ‘Select Group(s)' field and selecting all relevant groups from the list.
3c) Click ‘Submit’.
4a) To apply UIFSM status to all students in the list, tick the box at the very top of the list of students to select all.
4b) Click the ‘Actions’ button at the top and select ‘Apply UIFSM Status’.
5) Once applied, a tick will appear in the UIFSM column.
How to remove UIFSM status for Year 3 students
To remove UIFSM status to a Year 3 group, follow the instructions below:
1) Follow steps 1 and 2 in ‘How to apply UIFSM status to EYFS students’ to bring you into the ‘FSM/UIFSM Options’ area.
2a) Make sure you are in the ‘SET FSM & UIFSM STATUS’ tab.
2b) Select your Year 3 group(s) by clicking into the ‘Select Group(s)’ field and selecting all relevant groups from the list.
2c) Click ‘Submit.’
4a) To remove UIFSM status for all students in the list, tick the box at the very top of the list of students to select all.
4b) Click the ‘Actions’ button at the top and select ‘Remove UIFSM Status’.
6) Once actioned, the tick in the UIFSM column will be removed.
How to apply FSM or UIFSM status to an individual student
If a student joins your school part way through the academic year and they are eligible for Free School Meals or Universal Infant Free School Meals, you will need to apply FSM/UIFSM status to the student in Reach More Parents as this will not be applied automatically. To apply FSM/UIFSM status to an individual student, please follow the instructions below:
1) Follow steps 1 and 2 in ‘How to apply UIFSM status to EYFS students’ to bring you into the ‘FSM/UIFSM Options’ area.
2a) Make sure you are in the ‘SET FSM & UIFSM STATUS’ tab.
2b) Search for the student in the ‘Select User(s)’ search bar and click on their name to select them (NB, a tick should appear next to their name in the drop-down).
2c) Click ‘Submit’.
3) Click ‘Actions’ to the right of the student’s name, then select ‘Apply FSM Status’ or ‘Apply UIFSM Status’.
4) A tick will then appear in the relevant column (either ‘FSM’ or ‘UIFSM’) to show that the status has been applied.
How to remove FSM status for an individual student
To remove FSM status for an individual student, please see the instructions below:
1) Follow steps 1 and 2 in ‘How to apply UIFSM status to EYFS students’ to bring you into the ‘FSM/UIFSM Options’ area.
2a) Make sure you are in the ‘SET FSM & UIFSM STATUS’ tab.
2b) Search for the student in the ‘Select User(s)’ search bar and click on their name to select them (NB, a tick should appear next to their name in the drop-down).
2c) Click ‘Submit’.
3) Click ‘Actions’ to the right of the student’s name, then select ‘Remove FSM Status’.
4) The tick will then be removed from the ‘FSM’ column to show that FSM status has been removed.

Please ensure you apply/remove FSM/UIFSM status to your students BEFORE setting up any meal plans. Failure to do so, may result in parents being billed incorrectly.
