There is some variation in how schools allow their parents to order meals via ReachMoreParents Meals. This guide will cater to all these variations; however, the general process is the same.
The main variation between how you may order meals for your child is whether you are able to select the specific item on the menu for your child OR if you are simply ordering a generic meal, with the child able to choose what they would like in school.
Below are two sets of instructions, one for each of these variations. These instructions have been designed for the quickest and easiest way to order meals for the coming week.
If you have multiple children at the school, you will need to repeat this process for each child. You can switch between children by tapping View another child in the Parent Portal.
Ordering specific menu items
1) Log in to the app.
2) Browse to the parent portal.
3) Tap Meals.
4) If you pay for meals and have a positive balance in your meal purse, continue to step 5. If you do not have a positive purse balance, and your child does not receive free school meals then you must put funds into your purse before you are able to complete an order. Tap Top up purse to log in to sQuid and top up the purse balance.
5) Click Complete your order. Each complete your order button represents a week, with the earlier weeks appearing at the top.
6) The screen you see may vary based on your school’s settings. So, we have included the different variations below:
a. The Dining preference has not been pre-set for the day shown. Select the dining preference you require e.g. In School Meal.
b. The Dining preference you require has been pre-set for the day shown, but you can change this if you wish e.g. if it is set to Packed Meal, you can select the In School Meal option.
c. The Dining preference has been pre-set but you cannot change it. Move on to step 7 below.
7) Select the menu items you would like by tapping ADD next to the item. You may need to browse between lunch and breakfast options, or between courses such as main course and side dish. If a meal course e.g. main course, is flagged with an asterisk, this means a selection must be made for this course. The red exclamation mark indicates you still need to make a selection.
8) Use the arrow keys to move between the days of the week and repeat steps 6 and 7 for each day.
9) Select the basket icon.
10) Review the payment summary and select Buy Now. If you have Free School Meals, select Confirm. If you do not have enough funds in your purse to purchase the items you have selected, tap Top up purse and add these funds before returning to your order to complete.
